Seventy percent of Massachusetts voters support a bill that would offer app-based workers more benefits and ensure that they retain their independence and flexibility, according to a new poll commissioned by the Massachusetts Coalition for Independent Work.
The bill filed by state Reps. Mark Cusack, Carlos González and Joseph McGonagle would establish portable benefits accounts for app-based drivers, and workers would remain independent contractors.
